MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Thirty Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were called in to battle a smoky warehouse fire in Miami Gardens.

Horse feed, bedding and hay were being stored in the 35-thousand square foot Northwest Distributors facility at 206th Street and NW 17th Avenue.

Fire crews had to cut away about 100 feet of an aluminum section to be able to spray water on the fires more efficiently. After seven hours they were able to get it under control. They're now using forklifts to move the bales of hay around to get at all the remaining fires.

Two Miami-Dade fire fighters were injured, one seriously.

Because the new owner of the warehouse had a similar thing happen to one of his facilities in the northern part of the state, arson investigators have been called in.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
