Hassan Whiteside Signs With Nike

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Despite still being engulfed in the NBA offseason Hassan Whiteside tallied another double-double on Thursday.
This one wasn't of the points and rebounds variety, though -- it was purely business.
First, he tweeted an announcement about joining the Nike family.

Hours later, the Miami Heat reportedly fully guaranteed their young center's salary for the 2015-16 season, according to the Sun Sentinel.
His salary for the upcoming year is $981,348, a bargain for the 26-year-old potential star, and the Heat decided to eliminate the staggered guarantee dates.
Whiteside is set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer and is expected to net a massive raise in the realm of $18 million-plus annually pending he continues to show he's an impact big man on both ends of the court.
The Miami Heat begin training camp at the end of the month.
