JUPITER (CBSMiami/AP) — Matt Harvey cruised through four scoreless innings and the New York Mets pounded Miami pitching to an 11-0 victory that spoiled Giancarlo Stanton's return to the Marlins' lineup Sunday.

Making his second start of the spring, Harvey felt encouraged that he handled the NL East-rival Marlins, a team that's traditionally given him trouble.

Harvey allowed one hit and walked two while striking out four, with one of them coming on a slider — a pitch he didn't use much early last year as he returned from Tommy John surgery.

The right-hander issued one of his walks to Stanton, who was making his first Grapefruit League appearance in more than a week after experiencing knee soreness.

These two teams will face off again on Tuesday at Roger Dean Stadium.
