MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) - A $400 million plus tax cut bill has been approved by Governor Rick Scott.

Scott on Tuesday signed into law a tax cut bill that the Florida Legislature approved a day earlier.

The tax cuts total roughly $429 million and include a small cut in the monthly bills paid by cellphone and cable television customers. Customers are expected to save about $20 a year.

The tax cut package also includes a 10-day back-to-school sales tax holiday. Shoppers in August will be able to purchase clothes and school supplies without paying sales taxes. Taxes will also be waived on the first $750 of the cost of a computer.

Legislators also agreed to remove sales taxes on the cost of college textbooks for the next year.
