Good Samaritan Thwarts Robbery Of Elderly Couple In Pinewood Bank Parking Lot

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - It was a good Samaritan to the rescue when he spotted a man robbing an elderly couple in a bank parking lot.
It happened outside of the Wells Fargo branch at 9301 NW 7th Avenue in Pinewood.
Just before 9:30 a.m., the couple was withdrawing money from an ATM when a man tried to rob them.
A good Samaritan, and a man who was with him, saw what was going on and intervened. There was a struggle but they were able to hold the would-be robber until police arrived.
Two people, including the armed robbery subject, were injured and taken to the hospital.
Police said a woman driving a red Range Rover fled the scene. They have not determined if she was connected to the robbery attempt.
