Reeling In Trouble: Goliath Grouper Photo Lands Florida Teen In Hot Water

FLORIDA KEYS (CBSMiami) – An 18-year-old was placed under arrest after reeling in a goliath grouper in Key West.

On August 26th, Joshua Anyzeski caught the prohibited species, removing it from the water to take a picture.

The picture circulated on social media, which tipped off officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

FWC said this is the photo of Anyzeski with the goliath grouper, which led to his arrest. (Source: FWC)

Anyzeski was arrested last Friday. His bond was set at $7,500.
