MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Thousands of golf fans are expected to pack the World Golf Cadillac Championship tournament this week at the Trump National Doral.

While the tournament doesn't start until Thursday, dozens of golfers hit the links Wednesday to get in a practice round or two on the resort's world renowned course.

The practice rounds and tournament are extremely popular with golf fans and that translates into gridlock in an already busy City of Doral.

The Trump National is located between NW 87th Avenue and NW 97th Avenue and Doral Boulevard/NW 41st Street.

Those planning on checking out the action will have to park south of the resort at JC Bermudez Park located at 3000 NW 87th Ave. Thursday and Friday the tournament will be starting at 9 a.m. and going on until 6 p.m. So the peak hours for traffic will be morning and evening rush hour unfortunately.

Saturday and Sunday the tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. and runs through the evening as well.

To get around the delays, take NW 25th Street and NW 107th Avenue.
