Girl's National Letter-Writing Campaign Nears 100,000 Letters

WESTON (CBSMiami) - A little girl with a big heart showed her patriotism this Fourth of July.

Savannah Maddison, 13, of Weston founded a national letter-writing campaign three-years ago.

Savannah's Soldiers is now closing-in on sending 100,000 letters to U.S. troops serving around the world.

She got the idea in honor of a friend's father who was deployed to Afghanistan.
