General Mills Recalls Gold Medal Flour Amid E.Coli Investigation

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- General Mills is issuing a recall on Gold Medal flour products as authorities investigate a multistate E.coli outbreak.

The Golden Valley-based company announced in a statement Tuesday that while its products have yet to be directly linked to the outbreak, some of the 38 individuals who got sick reported using General Mills flour products.

The products affected by the recall are: Gold Medal Wondra, Gold Medal All Purpose Flour, Gold Medal Unbleached Flour, Signature Kitchens All Purpose Flour, Signature Kitchens Unbleached Flour, and Golden Medal Self Rising Flour.

In the statement, General Mills reminded consumers not to eat raw products made with flour, such as dough or batter.
