Gas Prices Jump About 15 Cents In Last Month-

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – In the last month, the price at the pump across the state has increased more than fifteen cents in some areas.

In Florida, the average price for a gallon of unleaded is $3.54, up from $3.39 a month ago, according to the American Automobile Association. Diesel also increased to $4.06 a gallon or about 13 cents more than a month ago.

In Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, drivers are paying more than the state average. Regular unleaded is running $3.60 a gallon in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. A month ago, drivers were paying $3.45 a gallon in Ft. Lauderdale and $3.46 in Miami.  A year ago, regular unleaded was averaging $3.82 a gallon.

The Pensacola area is the cheapest place in the state to fill up. Unleaded regular is averaging $3.40 a gallon.

West Palm Beach is the most expensive place to top off the tank; regular unleaded is averaging $3.65 a gallon.
