Gables PD Search For Pierce Park Gunman

CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) -- Coral Gables Police are searching for a gunman in an overnight shooting that left one person in critical condition.

Officers said just before 3 A.M. they responded to a call of shots fired at Pierce Park located at 101 Oak Avenue.

A man was at the entrance of the park when the gunman fired several shots from a handgun, hitting the victim numerous times before running off.

Miami Fire Rescue crews rushed the man to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Meantime, officers say they are looking for a man in his 20s with long dreadlocks who was last seen wearing black shorts and no shirt.
