FSU Investigating Jameis Winston For Autographs

Tallahassee (CBSMiami) – Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston just can't seem to stay out of trouble.

According to a report on ESPN, the school is investigating Winston for signing autographs for money.

James Spence Authentication has over 950 Winston autographs that have been authenticated and logged into the company's website verification system.

Additionally, there have been at least seven items listed on eBay since Sunday that have Winston's JSA-certified autograph.

This is the same autograph business that certified more than 500 autographs of University of Georgia running back Todd Gurley, who has since been suspended indefinitely for accepting money for signatures, an NCAA violation.

Following Florida State's victory over Syracuse last Saturday, Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher asked Winston if he signed autographs in exchange for money, according to the ESPN report. Winston said that he did not.

After that conversation between quarterback and coach, Fisher told the media he isn't worried that Winston was being linked to JSA.

Fisher also told reporters that Winston wouldn't miss any game time due to the ongoing sexual assault investigation.

Winston has already sat out one game this season, FSU's overtime win over Clemson on September 20, for yelling a vulgar phrase across the school's campus.
