Front Brings Cooler, Drier Weather This Week

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It will be a hot afternoon Sunday with highs reaching the middle 80s, but there will be plenty of sunshine.

High pressure controls the forecast for the day, but a cold front will begin approaching the area late in the day and move into Central and South Florida by Monday.

Winds will be out of the west for the first part of the day Sunday, but will be out of the south by later in the afternoon.

Sunday night, temperatures will be mild in the lower 70s and winds will begin to shift out of the northwest.

Monday, afternoon showers are possible with an isolated thunderstorm. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s.

The frontal boundary moves through the area Tuesday and brings an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon.

By Wednesday, the weather improves with much cooler air for the middle of the week. High temperatures will be in the middle 70s.
