MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  Friends and family who took it upon themselves to look for a missing Olympic sailor have called off their search.

It's been more than a week since Trevor Moore's 15-foot inflatable powerboat was found tangled in some moorings near Dinner Key marina.

The U.S. Coast Guard and the FWC suspended their search for Moore after three days.

The 30-year old was last seen on June 25th, when he left Miami's U.S. Sailing Center in Coconut Grove.

Moore's personal belongings were found still on the boat.

He was a member of the U.S. Sailing Team that competed in the 2012 summer Olympics in London.
