Four Fishermen Pulled From Water After Boat Capsizes

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Four boaters were set for a day of fishing but ended up being plucked from the sea themselves after their boat capsized.
Miguel Llano and his three friends were lucky to have made it after their 20-foot open fisherman boat filled with water and capsized.
The men were about a mile and a half off Government Cut when their boat started taking on water around 8 a.m.
"The waves...it was really choppy out there," said Llano.
Their boat got caught up in a sudden storm that sprung up off shore. Their anchor held them like a tub filling with water.
"The water got inside the boat and the boat started sinking. You know we called 911. The guys were there in 10, maybe 15 minutes," said Llano.
Miami Beach Police and a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue boat assisted the Coast Guard in their search for the boaters in distress. By the time the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue boat reached them, the boat had rolled over and was partially submerged under the sea.
All of the men were pulled from the water and taken to the Jungle Island Marina.
The rescued fisherman couldn't say enough about their rescuers.
"I owe them my life," said Sharriel Garcia who was also rescued.
"Without them, we probably wouldn't even have been alive right now," said Llano.
