Focus On South Florida: The Children's Trust

The mission of "The Children's Trust" is to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County. Miami-Dade voters in 2002 recognized the need and approved the dedicated funding source. Since then, the Children's Trust has partnered with the community to plan, advocate and fund investments that help our at-risk children. The Trust recently announced a series of grants totaling $190 million that will support quality after-school programs and summer camps. We focus on how that money will be spent and why it is so desperately needed.
