Legal Services was founded 50 years ago as part of President Lyndon Johnson's war on poverty.

It was born as a strategy to address the national poverty rate which was 19 percent at the time.

Legal Services of Greater Miami is today, the largest provider of civil legal services for the poor in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

It is recognized in Florida and nationwide as a model legal services program.

We focus on the impact it has in our community, and meet someone who has benefitted from from it.
