20 years ago, Leave a Legacy of Miami-Dade was formed as a means of encouraging people to support nonprofits.

The idea was to celebrate giving to those in need, to leave a legacy that lives on.

The organization recently changed its name to "Philanthropy Miami", to reflect the change in its mission and goals for the next 20 years.

We focus on its role in the community and meet a local woman being recognized for her philanthropic efforts here.
