Focus on South Florida: HistoryMiami

HistoryMiami, formerly known as the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, was founded in 1940 by a group of famous Miamians including George Merrick and Marjory Stoneman Douglas.
Its mission is to connect people by telling the stories of Miami's communities, individuals, places and events. And now HistoryMiami is in a new space at the Miami-Dade Cultural Center that's twice the size. We focus on that and an exciting new acquisition for HistoryMiami that any institution could want for its permanent collection. Click on the above picture to watch the interview.
