Focus on South Florida: Gun Violence & Children

According to the Centers for Disease Control. one child or teen dies or is injured from guns every 30 minutes in this country. The Rickia Isaac Foundation was established in Miami-Dade county back in 1997 in memory of the 5-year-old who was killed by a stray bullet while walking home from a Martin Luther King Day parade in Liberty City. The foundation's mission is to reduce gun violence by holding education seminars to show youth that guns is not the answer. We focus on the many ways the foundation makes South Florida a safer place for our children, and an upcoming event in which anyone can participate.
