FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- A former police officer faced a Broward judge Friday on charges of fraud.

Cheryl Ann Woods, 37, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with fraud/money laundering, racketeering, grand theft and securities transactions violations.

Woods, a former officer in South Carolina, is accused of targeting elderly people telling them she was selling precious metals then asking the victims to pay her.

She was on probation from a previous incident.

While there were no alleged victims in South Florida, one of her alleged victims was in Orlando.

Her bond is set at $122,500.
