Fmr. Margate Commissioner Arrested On Slew Of Charges

MARGATE (CBSMiami) -- A former Margate commissioner is behind bars, facing a slew of charges including bribery.

Broward deputies arrested David McLean after the State Attorney's office issued a warrant for his arrest on Wednesday.

The arrest comes after, deputies say, an investigation found probably cause for allegations of unlawful compensation, bribery, official misconduct and grand theft.

The allegations stretch from May 2011 to June 2013.

McLean was in bond court Thursday morning where a judge set his bond at $14,500.

Just last month, a federal appeals court upheld McLean's acquittal on federal bribery charges dating back to 2013.
