Florio: Deflategate Has 'All the Elements of a Greek Tragedy'

As soon as it feels Deflategate is starting to wind down, new headlines like "Roger Goodell To Hear Tom Brady's Appeal" thrusts it back to the top of the news cycle.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio thinks Deflategate "has all the elements of a Greek tragedy."

"There is no one you could believe in any of this," Florio said on 560 WQAM's Joe Rose Show. "Just when it feels like there's a sense that maybe the Patriots were in some way wronged by the investigation, that the science was twisted and warped, that the investigation really wasn't fair to them, and that maybe there's a way you could connect the dots to say that this isn't as bad as they're making it out to be, they come up with that ridiculous excuse for the use of the term deflator.

"My wife hasn't been paying much attention to this and I just explained that to her, the whole idea that the guy used the term deflator because he's trying to lose weight and she just said 'oh my god' and I think that's the reaction most people had. The first time I saw it, I thought it was a parody, a joke."
