Florida's Revenue Chief Is Stepping Down

MIAMI (CBSMiami/NSF) -- The executive director of the Florida Department of Revenue is stepping down.
Marshall Stranburg gave notice to Governor Rick Scott and the state Cabinet that he will resign effective April 1st to take a job in Washington, according to his resignation letter and an announcement to department employees.
Stranburg, who became interim executive director of the tax agency in 2012 and executive director in 2013, said in an announcement to employees Monday that he will become deputy executive director of the Multistate Tax Commission.
He submitted the letter of resignation to Scott and the Cabinet last week, noting that he would remain at the department through the legislative session and during a transition to a new executive director.
