Florida Woman Had Gun, Ammo At School Basketball Game

BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) — A potentially horrendous situation could have gone down outside, of all place, a high school girls' basketball game.

Police say a Florida woman brought a handgun and dozens of rounds of ammunition to the game, almost using the weapon during an altercation.

Palm Beach County schools police say 25-year-old Charmea Mosley brought the 9mm handgun and 124 rounds of ammunition to Boynton Beach High School last week during the game.

A police report says Mosley got into an argument with others at the game. When they were escorted out, police say Mosley got into her vehicle and nearly struck the other people with it. She got out of the vehicle with the gun, saying she was "going to air this thing out."

Mosley was faces possession of a weapon on school property and other charges. It wasn't clear Saturday if she has a lawyer.
