MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Now that the Obama administration has laid the groundwork for normalizing relations with Cuba, a group of Florida is about to get a first hand lesson on the communist island's legal and regulatory systems.

A contingent of 37 attorneys is scheduled to fly to Havana on Wednesday for a four-day trip sponsored by The Florida Bar.

Miami attorney Francisco Cerezo said in addition to the country's legal system, U.S. lawyers need a better understanding of the island nation's economy and politics.

The itinerary includes lectures on such topics as Cuba's legal system, how foreign companies operate in Cuba and regulations involving investments and business transactions. The Florida lawyers will also take an architectural tour, visit the Museum of Cuban Art and have a performance of Cuban music and dance.
