NAPLES, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) — Alligator Alley reopened to motorists once the morning fog lifted Friday.

The Florida Highway Patrol opened the road to motorists shortly before 9 a.m.

The road, also known as Interstate 75, was closed early Friday due to severe fog between mile marker 101 near Naples to mile marker 23 in Broward County.

But troopers say conditions can change quickly, so it is important to drive with caution.
