Fla. Senate To Honor Golf Champ Bubba Watson

TALLAHASSEE (AP) — The Florida Senate is planning to honor Masters champion and hometown hero Bubba Watson.

Watson and his wife are set to make an appearance at the Capitol on Friday along with their 2-year-old son.

Senators were encouraged to wear green ties on the floor as a tribute to Watson, who won the coveted green jacket after clinching his second Masters victory earlier this month.

Watson was in Pensacola on Thursday visiting several schools and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Pensacola Wahoo Game at Bayfront Stadium.

He is from the city of Bagdad, which has a population of approximately 1,600. He played golf at Milton High School before he attended Faulkner State College, and later the University of Georgia.
