FIU Snaps Skid, Rolls Past Tulane 73-47

MIAMI (AP) — Rakeem Buckles and Tymell Murphy combined to score 39 points as Florida International played its final home game of the season and snapped a four-game losing streak by shooting down Tulane, 73-47 Sunday.

Buckles was 6 of 11 from the field and hit 4 of 7 shots from long range to score 20 points while pulling down 13 rebounds. Murphy was 8 of 13 from the field to score 19 points and grabbed a half-dozen rebounds. Jerome Fink added 14 points on 6 of 12 shooting from the field.

The Golden Panthers (14-16, 6-9 Conference USA) scored the first 10 points of the game and maintained that cushion through the first half, taking a 38-28 advantage at halftime.

Tulane (16-14, 8-7) was led by Louis Dabney, Trevante Drye and Jonathan Stark, who scored 13, 12 and 11 points, respectively.
