MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Coast Guard crews rescued four fisherman after their boat slammed into a wall of rocks in Port Everglades late Friday evening.

Three of the fisherman are safe while one remains hospitalized. Coast Guard officials said he is listed in stable condition.

The 63-foot fishing boat named "Joyce Lynn II" collided with a jetty and began taking on water and breaking apart.

Crews were called about the incident just after 11 p.m. When they arrived, the three fisherman were able to jump from the damaged vessel to the Coast Guard small boat.

The fourth fisherman was able to swim to shore.

Coast Guard crews will be back at the scene of the crash to determine if there are any pollution concerns and to coordinate how the vessel will be removed.  They are investigating the crash.
