BOCA RATON (CBSMiami) – After responding to a call, a firefighter was rushed to hospital after a fire truck ran over his leg.

Capt. Mike McBrien, 32, and crew responded to a fire alarm at a residence in Woodfield Hunt Club, a development in Boca Raton near the corner of Yamato and Jog Roads.

According to the Sun Sentinel, just as the crew was wrapping up the call, McBrien suffered some sort of dizziness. It caused him to fall near the fire engine's right front as the crew was backing up. And the right front tire ran over his leg.

McBrien was taken to Delray Medical Center and is in stable condition.
