Fire Rips Through School Bus Near Opa-locka Airport

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A fire gutted a private school bus Thursday morning in Opa-locka.

The bus caught fire on NW 37th Avenue near NW 151st Street, right next to the Opa-locka airport.

The fire quickly spread through the interior, thick black smoke billowed out of the buses windows.

The bus belongs to A. Oliveros Transportation out of Hialeah. There were no children on the bus when the fire broke out, the bus driver was able to get out safely.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue shut down the road as they battled the flames.

There are no reports of any injuries.
