MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) – Firefighters responded to a fire inside of a barn Sunday night.

The fire broke out at 3950 SW 132 Avenue in Miramar just before 7:00 p.m.

"The back neighbor thought it was our house on fire so they called me and we came out and it was our across the street neighbor," said neighbor Yeddy Rodriguez.

Neighbors were not sure if any animals were inside the barn.

Rodriguez said the response to the fire was quick, but the community has a limited number of fire hydrants.

"I think if we had some fire hydrants to secure the neighborhood would be nice," Rodriguez said. "They were trying to take water out of the canal, but it wasn't going well."

"We should have a fire hydrant down here, they built a brand new water station right across from the canal and this is just ridiculous really," said another neighbor named Rene Garcia.

Firefighters have not said what started the fire.
