Feeding South Florida And Bank Of America Team Up For National Hunger Action Day

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - National Hunger Action Day is sweeping the nation today, and South Florida has taken notice.

Feeding South Florida has teamed up with Bank of America in an effort to raise hunger awareness.

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation will donate $2 for every $1 donated by South Florida residents to Feeding South Florida.

This matching program has a chance to triple donations up to $75,000 for Feeding South Florida. On a broader scale, Feeding America has to opportunity to reach $1.5 million.

As part of the awareness campaign, Bank of America has lit their building in various colors.

To coincide with the start of National Hunger Action Day and the national Give A Meal Campaign, the buildings color will be changed to orange.

Throughout the nation, several marquee buildings have been "lighting up for hunger."
