FBI Announces Arrest Of Alleged Pembroke Pines Bank Robber

PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) --  Federal officials announced the arrest of a man they said robbed a bank in South Florida and may be linked to more.

Seminole Police arrested Derek Bailey, 57, from Jamaica, on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in the robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank and attempted robbery of a Citibank in in Pembroke Pines April 29th.

Bailey is now facing federal charges for both robberies which were committed by an person investigators nicknamed the "Lucky Bandit."

Federal investigators believe the "Lucky Bandit" is linked to a number of other robberies that are under investigation.

Bailey's initial appearance is expected to be in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court on Wednesday.
