VERO BEACH (CBSMiami) -- There is new hope in the search for a Plantation teen that went missing since December.

The father of Aage Jorgensen was in Vero Beach Thursday looking for his son. Bruce Jorgensen spent the day passing out flyers there.

Aage was spotted in Vero Beach early Tuesday morning and was even taken into custody by officials with the Department of Children and Families but he ran off and has been on the run again.

The teen ran away after he and his dad got into an argument. Police said the father kicked Aage out of the car. He had not been seen until Tuesday when he was found sleeping in a hotel lobby bathroom.

Police said Aage has run away before for long stretches. They add that he is not in any trouble but would like him to come forward to make sure that he is okay.

"I love you son, so much!  Be safe and come home," said Jorgensen on Wednesday.
