JUPITER (CBSMiami) -- The family of one of two teens who vanished at sea in July announced the launch of their foundation to promote safe boating, according to the Sun-Sentinel and their news partner WPEC-Ch.12.

The Perry J. Cohen Foundation said they hope to create an awareness around safe recreational boating and other water activities.

The Foundation will also offer a scholarship program geared toward students to continue education in Marine Science and related fields.

Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos, both 14, were last seen July 24th heading out for a fishing trip. Their capsized boat was found about a week later after an extensive search by the U.S. Coast Guard and many volunteers.
