Family Gets New Home In Time For Christmas

OAKLAND PARK (CBSMiami) -- One family is getting a new home just in time for Christmas thanks to some helping hands in South Florida.

Broward Habitat For Humanity and the non-profit South Florida PGA Foundation put their resources together to make it happen for family of five.

Fifty volunteers worked over 700 hours to fix up the Oakland Park home located at 271 NE 34th Street.

And after all those hours and dedication, Rohema Cortijo-Witten and Brian Golden, along with their three children AJ, Matese and Amari, will be able to call it home.

Officials will hand over the keys to the family on Saturday afternoon, just in time to celebrate the holidays in their new home.
