Families In Need Get Some Help For The Holidays

HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) -- South Florida families in need are getting some help for the holidays in the form of food on Saturday.

Starting at 9 a.m. a part of Miami Dade College's Homestead campus was turned into a food distribution center.

The food supplies which include fresh fruits and vegetable are on a first come first serve basis.

The event which lasts until noon or until supplies last was held by Florida Rep. Frank Artiles, Farm Share and the Department of Children and Families.
