Jim DeFede went one-on-one with Miami's incoming police chief.

Art Acevedo, who is the police chief in Houston, was a surprise choice to succeed Jorge Colina.

The announcement came earlier this week.

Acevedo is expected to officially become Miami's top cop in May.
