FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Palm Beach sheriff's deputies and fire rescue searched a home they say was being used a grow house after an explosion early Tuesday morning blew out some of its windows.

The explosion happened around 5 a.m. Arriving sheriff's deputies evacuated several nearby homes as a precaution.

No one was found inside the home at 22195 SW 62nd Avenue in West Boca but they did find a dog "possibly a pit bull mastiff" which was unharmed. The dog was turned over to animal control.
