Exclusive: Evidence Stolen In Officer Road Rage Investigation
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A search warrant has emerged, shedding new details into a road rage incident involving a Miami-Dade Police officer who is accused of shooting at the car of a corrections officer on the Florida Turnpike.
According to a search warrant obtained exclusively by CBS4 News, investigators said someone broke into the officers impounded vehicle and stole evidence.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the incident happened in July.
The victim, Corrections Officer Georgina Illa, said Lang's wife was driving Miami-Dade Police officer Jonathan Lang's SUV and cut her off nearly causing an accident.

Illa said she flashed her brights and that is when Lang rolled down the passenger's side window, yelled at her, threw a water bottle at her car and then fired his gun.
The bullet went through a tail light and lodged into an armrest inside the car.
Investigators said they obtained surveillance video from the tow company that impounded officer Lang's car.
It shows a man wearing gloves use the car key to get in and take what they believe was the gun used in the shooting.
When investigators searched the officer's car they found ammunition but no gun.
Lang has not been charged with any crime.
The State Attorney's office is still reviewing the case.
