WEST PALM BEACH (CBSMiami) – Escaped inmate Dayonte Resiles has been apprehended in West Palm Beach.

Resiles, 21, has been on the run since Friday when he escaped from the Broward Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale.

So far seven people have been arrested in connection to Resiles' escape.

According to authorities, Resiles was taken into custody shortly before 11 p.m. on Wednesday night at a West Palm Beach hotel and is being transported back to Broward County.

Resiles ran out of Judge Raag Singhal's fourth floor courtroom around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, prompting a massive manhunt.

Winston George Russell, Jr., 22, and Laquay Dionta Stern, 18, were picked up by police at a home in Deerfield Beach on Saturday, a day after Resiles' escape.

Police said the planned escape between them and Resiles was discovered upon investigation, including help from two other suspects, 17-year-old twin brothers Kreton and TreVon Barnes, who were also arrested.

After Resiles was able to free himself from his handcuffs and ankle shackles during a hearing Friday morning, where prosecutors intended to seek the death penalty at trial, he was able to shed his jailhouse clothes and change into a white t-shirt and black shorts before fleeing a north side exit of the building.

Stern told police she provided a bag with the change of clothes and also provided a car that would be waiting for Resiles once he got outside. She noted that Russell also had a bag that included a police uniform, vest and gun belt.

Stern said she then drove the three other suspects to the courthouse to implement the plan.

On Wednesday a fifth suspect, 22-year-old Walter Hart, III, who was arrested on murder charges back in 2014, allegedly helped Resiles get out of his shackles and escape the courthouse.
