Ereck Flowers is a New York Giant and officially becomes the first Miami Hurricane off the board in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Miami's starting left tackle of the last three seasons was selected ninth overall.

He is the first Hurricane first-round pick since Kenny Phillips was taken 31st by the New York Giants in 2008. The 6-foot-6, 329-pound Flowers played down the road at Miami Norland for high school, the same school attended by fellow Cane prospect Duke Johnson.

Flowers becomes the 60th first-round pick in Canes history.
