Hurricane Edouard Begins To Weaken
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – After becoming the first major hurricane of the season, Hurricane Edouard began to weaken on Tuesday.
At 5:00 p.m., Hurricane Edouard had reached 115 miles per hour, a Category 3 hurricane, and then began to weaken to 105 miles per hour.
It is located about 425 miles east of Bermuda.
It's moving toward the North near 15 mph.
Edouard is forecast to take a turn toward the northeast with a large increase in forward speed. It's expected to speed up on Wednesday and on Thursday it's expected to turn toward the East.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
Gradual weakening is forecast for the next couple of days.

Hurricane Edouard is the fifth named tropical system of the current Atlantic hurricane season and the fourth hurricane.
The last time that name was used was in 2008, when Tropical Storm Edouard came ashore in Texas. The storm was blamed for one death and minor coastal flooding.
