E-Cigarettes Banned From County Buildings

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Electronic cigarettes have been banned from Miami-Dade County buildings and Jackson Health System buildings.

According to our news partners, the Miami Herald, County commissioners signed off on the measure Tuesday, banning the use of e-cigarettes in indoor workplaces.

The ban includes buildings  supervised by the Public Health Trust that oversees Jackson hospital.

The resolution's sponsor Commissioner Juan C. Zapata told the paper, the government does not have enough evidence to prove vapor emitted by the e-cigarettes is not harmful.
