2 dead, 1 hospitalized in Liberty City shooting

Triple shooting under investigation in Liberty City

MIAMI - A triple shooting Tuesday afternoon in Liberty City has left two dead and one person injured.

According to Miami Police, there were two shootings and they occurred blocks from one another.

Police said, "We have two scenes, one on 10th Avenue and NW 55th Terrace and the other one is at 10th Avenue and NW 61 Street."

A man was found dead inside a silver vehicle at the second scene. Chopper 4 images showed the sedan partly covered with a yellow tarp. 

The second fatal victim, a man who had been listed as being critically injured, later died at the hospital. The woman who was with him was rushed to Ryder Trauma, where she was treated for her injuries.

Her condition is currently unknown. 

Police did not identify the victims.  

For neighbors in the area, it was a real nightmare.

"I got on the floor, I thought it was within a couple of houses away from me," said one neighbor.

It happened before 2 p.m., there were bullet markers scattered in the area.

No one is in custody as police continue to investigate.
