Doral Driver Left Trapped After Car Plows Into Tree

DORAL (CBSMiami) -- Rescue crews were able to pull a driver from a car after it slammed into a tree in Doral.

Officials said the driver was found alert but stuck under the steering wheel after the crash. (Source: CBS4)

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue found the car stuck in a tree, flipped on its side in the median along N.W. 52nd Street and N.W. 87th Avenue.

A Rescue team was able to stabilize the car before attempting to pull the driver out using the jaws of life.

They said the person was alert but stuck under the steering wheel, and was eventually freed and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
