DAVIE (CBSMiami) – It was known towards the end of the NFL preseason that the Miami Dolphins were exploring trade options for third year cornerback Will Davis.

Ultimately, the Dolphins didn't find a deal or trade partner they liked and went into the season with Davis on the 53-man roster.

It appears that Miami has finally found a suitable deal and trade partner.

The Dolphins have traded Davis to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a late-round draft pick.

The Ravens confirmed that it's a seventh round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Davis was a third round pick of Miami's in the 2013 Draft.  Various injuries limited his playing time during his first two years in the league.

He played a total of 15 games for the Dolphins, accumulating 25 tackles, two passes defended and no interceptions.
