DAVIE (CBSMiami) – After letting Lamar Miller go in free agency, the Miami Dolphins had a hole at the running back position to fill.

It appears they may have found their guy.

Per multiple reports, the Dolphins have signed C.J. Anderson to a four-year offer sheet.

Anderson was given a low round tender from the Denver Broncos so they have five days to match the Dolphins offer.

CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora is reporting that the offer sheet is worth $18 million.

Anderson is familiar with new Dolphins head coach Adam Gase, who was Denver's offensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014.

The 25-year-old running back  was in Miami for a visit with the Dolphins on Thursday and it was expected that the team would make him an offer.

UPDATE

Mike Klis, who covers the Broncos for KUSA in Denver, is reported that the Dolphins did in fact front-load Anderson's offer sheet

This makes it more difficult for the Broncos to match Miami's offer.
